Your choice for buying an Android phone is a good one but you need to be a little careful before putting your bucks out there.

1st of all I'm not sure if you are looking for CDMA phones ONLY or GSM also.

Also, your budget for the phone and place where you live for its availability.

HTC ThunderBolt 4G is a CDMA device. It will not work on GSM. Otherwise, the handset is a good bet.

Galaxy S2 is undoubtedly one of the best phones with latest Android v2.3.3, Super AMOLED Plus display and much more.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a good choice if your aim is to have a good experience playing games on it. Along with other features which are fab. It is available in CDMA and GSM both. Look around for Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc too.

Motorola Atrix has a slight older version of Android so you might be just a bit disappointed when the latest Apps wouldn’t be available to you.

HTC Desire S, Incredible S and Sensation are round about similar phones but surely going great with a sleek and neat look.

Try checking out the Google Nexus S it has the latest Android, SAMOLED Display with Gorilla Glass Display and is a few bucks less.

It would help to go in a store and have a firsthand look.
