Apple seeks to develop background tools that would help iPhone users to receive data over the net, for example instant messages even when they are offline. In order to further fuel the development, application developers are being given enough tools to help them succeed in doing so. The problem with rival mobile phones is that when the users believe they have logged out of an application, they still stay online for the application remains open. Apple’s Push Notification Service is an alternative to such other background applications. In this technology, badges could be pushed to icons and is still in the beta stage. It would look like the email count indicator, which you can find on the iPhone’s mail icon. If the technology works, we could see the first background-conscious iPhone applications very soon. It depends on how iPhone users receive the technology.
