Give me at&t early termination fee information?


I am currently in my iPhone 3GS contract with AT&T, and I am looking into switching to Verizon. Would I need to pay an early termination fee. Is there any way out to get rid of this cancellation or termination fee.If no than does anyone has an idea that how much is at&t early termination fee. Kindly help me with this information as I don’t want to get in to any sort of a fuss.

The lawsuit seeks to recover monetary damages and restitution, as well as a remedy declaratory and injunctive relief. AT & T Mobility strongly denies any wrongdoing, but has agreed to reach an agreement to avoid the burden and expense of further litigation.

It is pending a proposed settlement of a class action lawsuit entitled Hall, et al., against AT & T Mobility LLC, Case No. 07-05325 (JLL) of the District Court of New Jersey, USA.UU. The lawsuit alleges that AT & T Mobility LLC ("AT & T Mobility") and its predecessors violated state and federal law by charging customers a flat-rate early termination ("ETF" early termination fee) in their contracts of telephone service cell phone. AT & T Mobility strongly denies any wrongdoing, but has agreed to reach an agreement to avoid the burden and expense of further litigation.

You can be part of the application if a subscriber's current or former mobile AT & T Mobility, who paid or who is charged a flat fee for ETF, or whose contract included a provision for a flat fee for ETF, at any time between January 1, 1998 and November 4, 2009, inclusive.

Some customers of AT & T Mobility LLC have sued the company alleging that the flat fee for ETF AT & T Mobility in mobile phone contracts illegal. The Settlement Class includes all current or former customers of AT & T Mobility or its predecessors in the U.S.. States who paid or that they were charged a flat fee for ETF at any time during the period from January 1, 1998 and November 4, 2009, or who have or had a service contract with AT & T Mobility, which included a flat fee for ETF at any time between January 1, 1998 and November 4, 2009, and have not paid or have not been billed a flat fee for ETFs.
