Which one is a better option- CDMA vs GSM?

Hi, these days there is a lot of competition between CDMA vs GSM as every one is talking about it. However, I have a confusion that which service should I go for I mean should I go for cdma or should I go for gsm. These both services are proving themselves best in their respective fields. Guys please tell me which one is better to use cdma or gsm as I found gsm more appropriate in comparison to cdma because with cdma you have only few options whereas in gsm you still have an option to change your service provider but still I am not sure , so please suggest me the better one.

The war between GSM and CDMA technology is always on. GSM (Global System for Mobile) is based on the wireless network whereas CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) is based on-air interface. The GSM technology is sharing about 82% market share of world's total mobile communication systems. The storage of CDMA memory is internal whereas GSM memory is SIM card-based where memory stores in it. In the case of International Roaming, GSM wins over CDMA as CDMA handset never supports for multi-band capability whereas GSM supports it. As far as data transfer is concerned, CDMA wins over GSM because the CDMA technology depends on the high-speed data-transfer technology. Its speed can reach up to 144 kbps, which caters for the service like ISDN to the internet user. If you are using the internet extensively, then CDMA technology is suitable for you whereas if you are using the internet for chatting, blogging and music downloading, then GSM is best for you. Actually, CDMA technology is for the business community, and the GSM technology is for the general people. One interesting point to remember that if CDMA and GSM tower is situated in the same vicinity, then sometimes GSM connection gets frequent drops due to the presence of CDMA tower.
