Cell phone should be allowed in school?

I admit that they are a convenience for students before and after school, but while they are in class, they should not be talking to anyone, texting or playing games. </span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: #333333; background: white;">And nowadays many a times I come up getting statements from the students that &ldquo;I need it for emergencies&rdquo; - If there is a true emergency the parent only needs to call the school and the student will be found in class in a matter of moments.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: #333333; background: white;"> If the student needs to call home they only need to go to the main office or guidance. Most calls home are not for emergencies, they are for simple communication that does not need to be done during school.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: #333333; background: white;"> The disruption that phones causes is cheating and the rude behavior that it all involves makes using a cell phone in school useless.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span class="apple-style-span"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: #333333; background: white;"> And as you said that children&rsquo;s can be traced by parents but I don&rsquo;t understand when you know that your child is at school then why do you need to trace them out. Its better you communicate to the school about the matter.&nbsp;</span></span></p>
