Cell phone keypad?

I bought a cell phone Motorola 490 last year with Verizon network and its keypad has stopped working. On the other side, it has also come out of the warranty period, so I will have to pay for getting it in proper condition. Guys, if you would help me, I could be saving my money. If you have also gone through such problem, please share with me. Please suggest me all those steps that are needed to fix the cell phone keypad on my own. Besides, if some websites are also there to help for fixing the cell phone keypad, please make the site available here.

First of all reset or restart the cell phone sometimes some software problem happens in the phone and due to it your are not able to use your keypad successfully . if problem disappear after doing this then its great otherwise . got ot initial menu then to setting and then to master setup .pres the reset button for master setup . you can refer to your user manual . you should remove small waste dust particle from around the keys. Someof the times particles of dust ,skin, oil, and even food can attach between the buttons, making keys not to function properly if pressed . you should use a thin needle to scrape waste particle around the keys and detect the funvtion of every key is working properly or not . then you have to call your carrier for repair or replacement. If cleaning the keypad did not restore functionality, the problem likely lies with an internal malfunction. your carrier will give you information on how to obtain a replacement or send the device in for repair.
