How Cell Phone Scanner works and from where can I get it?

Being a news reporter I have to frequently photocopy and scan documents for news stories. And some time I lose some important news to update as I do not carry scanner with me at that moment. I have heard about cell phone scanner, does anyone of you have any idea about it. How much useful they are and how do they work. I think such cell phone scanner will be very useful for me as well as for my media company. I have tried to get that here in California but I did not get it anywhere. So please anyone of  you do guide me in getting that

<p style="background: white;"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">Being a reporter i could have given anything for Scanr.com, which helps me to help my phone work as an scanner.&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="background: white;"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">Scanr.com also provides mobile applications for one to use their mobile phones as an scanner, it help the mobile phone owner to scan the documents easily and then send it through their mobile phone itself in the desired format.</span></p> <p style="background: white;"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">The idea is to use the device as a portable scanner that makes it easy to enter written information in computer-readable form.</span></p> <p style="background: white;"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">Once data are captured on the handset racks of servers process the sent image, then another set of servers grabs all visible text, cleans it up and drops it into a PDF file.</span></p> <p style="background: white;"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">The process, which takes about 30 seconds, is totally automated.</span></p> <p style="background: white;"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">ScanR, which offers the service free for up to five uses per month and charges $3 per month for unlimited use, says it has received e-mailed images from users in 200 countries and from 950 models of phones.</span></p> <p style="background: white;"><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; color: black;">Cutting back on paper and bulky equipment by making use of the devices that already live in our pockets is powerful indeed.</span></p>
