Are Chinese Cell Phones durable?

I want to buy a cell phone. my expectations for mu cell phone are high but the budget is very low. I have visited many shops and investigated about many branded cell phone, but I did not get a single branded cell phone in my budget. During the search I saw many Chinese cell phones which were fulfilling my requirement under my budget. But I have heard many people saying that Chinese goods are not so durable. So I want your suggestion who have used Chinese cell phone that will it be good business to have a Chinese cell phone  for myself.
