Which is the most consumer freindly cellphone service?

Being in the college I am always busy talking to my friends for long hours. I am currently using Virgin mobile service in San Diego, California for the last one year but from couple of months I have gone through some bad experiences including frequent call drops and network problems. Apart from all this they have also ended up with faulty bills many times. So at last I have decided to take a break from Virgin and choose among other cell phone service available. I would like to hear from you about your experiences and also want you to suggest me the best cell phone service that could provide good service at affordable cost. I simply like to have a operator which could provide high end services on my mobile ranging from faster Internet to high quality video calls. I also want you guys to suggest me some good plans to make use of for large calling usage.

By going through your question, I guess you have been put through much by Virgin Group Plc. I hope Richard Branson is hearing to this and start investing a couple of millions into customer experience and tangible services. As far as choice of cell phone plan is concerned, I believe that since you are a student, you should not go for a cell phone service i.e overtly expensive, because during college time cell phone bills are paid out of pocket allowance only and you should thus opt for a decent prepaid plan with any of leading cell phone service providers like Verizon Prepaid ,T-Mobile Monthly4G or Tracfone are some of the other alternatives with rational pricing mechanism like pay-per-use and no fixed charges for services like international calls, mobile broadband, unlimited calls and video calls,as mentioned in your question. Many all-round plans are available for custom made needs for beginners there is a Basic prepaid plan which could charge you from $15 to $100 for a use of 30 days and 365 days respectively, then you have a dedicated plan for texters ranging from $10 to $20 depending upon certain conditions for use, you can also add-on a prepaid broadband plan ranging from $15 for a 100Mb use in 24 hours to a $80 plan allowing 5Gb data usage within a span of 3o days,so choose anything depending on your pocket, you may choose one or a motley out of them.To choose, the right option for you is nothing short of an art, so keep practicing your and sharpening your tools and prioritize well.
