How to get contacts to the phone directory in my simple nokia 1112 phone?

I have transferred my entire contact list on main page in my nokia 1112 phone. But now when I open the phone directory none of my contacts show up. Anyone knows how to get my contacts to the phone directory? I can update and root my phone because it is a simple phone. So suggest something that can work in my nokia 1112 phone?
