How to create ringtones for iPhones?

I recently bought an iPhone4 and I am finding it difficult to get some nice ringtones for it. I have some favorite songs and want to set only those songs as my ringtones. I want to know that is there any way to create ringtones in iTunes from your favorite music. Is there anyone who can help me with some detailed steps of how to create ringtones of your favorite music using iTunes? I am really looking for some tried and tested solutions to create ringtone for iPhone. Thanks.

Find the song which you want to make into a ringtone. Listen to the song and then find the part of it that you want to use. The chorus may be a very good place to just start. Write down the start and even the stop times of the clip. Right click the song and then select the get Info. Click on the options tab. Type in the start time of the ringtone in the text box next to the start Time in the minutes or seconds (that is 2:01 type format. Type in the end time of the ringtone in the text box next to the stop Time. Make sure the ringtone is no more than 40 seconds long. Click the OK button. Right click the song again and then select Convert Selection to AAC. Wait for the iTunes to just convert the song. It will create really a duplicate version. Right click on the ringtone and then select Delete. Click on the Keep Files button. Find all the related file. It's usually in your User folder under the Music iTunes Music section and under the band's name.
