dvd player software for windows 7

I have a windows based computer which has windows 7 operating system. I recently upgraded from xp. I used a program to play DVDs on my computer but I think that software does not with windows 7. It worked fine with windows xp. So I think I need a dvd player software to play my DVDs with windows 7. So guys please suggest a few good softwares for the same. One more thing since this is a new windows version, is there any program within the windows 7 which I can use to play DVDs. Please also tell how to use it.

There are ample amount of player software available but to select the best out of them is the concern here. Every Windows operating system comes with a default player - "Windows Media Player" which runs all sorts of media, DVD's, CD's etc. It's easy to install and easy to use. It also helps in organizing and playing digital media files on your computers. Few versions also provide you with option of organizing and playing songs on the internet. It also provides with options of changing the skin of the media player which is connected to the internet.

Another option available with Windows is "Windows Media Center". It is no different than other media players. It supports global TV standards which include HD and digital. It not only supports and plays XviD, DivX, AVI files but also supports AAC, MPEG-4, WMV, 3GP, WMA. Not only does it support the media and audio files it also makes collages with background music in a slide show. Easy to use and easy to install, all these software’s are a good option for playing any kind of media on your pc/laptop.

I hope the suggestions comes of great use to you and also as these two are the best of the DVD player on PC.
