Apple iPhone: Gaming console?

"Apple iPhone is not a phone, it's a console experience." This is what John Geleynse, Director of Technology Evangelism at Apple said, regarding the iPhone platform. This comes as a surprise for many of us. The statement was made during an ADC "iPhone Tech Talk" in San Jose. So, should I take my iPhone to be a gaming console? It would be kinda NO from my side as gaming on iPhone is good, but I won’t take it to be the perfect gaming platform. But then, if they have said this, then probably we might see some upgrades for the iPhone very soon.
