UK advertising watchdog ASA reined in the iPhone 3G after it found out that all the claims made by their ad was not true and especially the claim that iPhone allows the user to browse any part of the internet. The most famous claim made by the iPhone is that it is the only model that allows browsing Internet like no other cellphone can. Since iPhone does not support Flash or Java, many web pages can’t be accessed. So much for over hyping a product that it’s own fame attracted the ire of the ASA and the ad was taken off air.

The much huped launch of iphone in India turned out to be a bit of damp squib.Airtel and Vodafone launched the phone in Mumbai,Delhi,Chennai,Kolkata,Bangluru and Hyderabad at midnight of 21-22 aug. While hordes of keen buyers had queued up hours in advance in the Us,Mumbai apperently saw only 5 peoples.Delhi was worse with only 3 customers, waiting to lay their hands on what “TIME” has called ‘the gadget of the year’.
