Having only recently announced the release of the iPhone on the Vodaphone network in major international markets including Australia, New Zealand, India, Egypt, Greece, Italy, South Africa, Turkey, Portugal and the Czech Republic, Apple have now announced plans to launch the now-legendary phone with the Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) service in Singapore, India, Australia and the Philippines later this year. Early reports suggest that the iPhone 2 will be offered with 3G speeds to enhance the appeal of the cellphone in the growing communication sector in these markets. So, can Apple take on the BlackBerry already so well established in these markets? Your guess is as good as mine!
