New phone measures CO2, tells you when you’re in a polluted zone

With the growing awareness about greenhouse gases and all that crap, it was only a matter of time before someone invented a cellphone that could tell you when your environment was getting too toxic for your own health. We’re just glad Blue Telephony and GPS Group Italia decided to collaborate on making phones that can actually sense and display the levels of CO2 in the users’ vicinity. Featuring “integrated sensor technologies”, the proposed cellphone promises to effectively gauge and alert cellphone users about the levels of CO2 present in a particular place and we’re almost sure our favorite spots around town including restaurants, shopping centers or maybe even lake and riversides might show up on the red zone!
