While Apple is probably busy readying the Pay Pal killer, Nokia has managed to deliver a killer blow with the announcement of the Nokia Money, a Pay Pal like service which will be directly available on the handsets. For a Nokia Money user to transfer money, he will simply need to know the receipts mobile number to send a payment. Apple could have done better with a similar electronic money management system capable of elementary banking and money transfer services given that its smartphones are currently the best in the world. Since Nokia is the one which has taken lead in this field, it is something which will please the Finnish giant which has been somber with decreasing sales numbers and its depleting smartphone marketing share. The Nokia Money service is no way to be underestimated as it is well backed by Nokia’s money and Obopay’s brains which is an expert in the field of mobile money transfers. The Nokia World 2009 next week is surely going to be an exciting event. Nokia has started the upswing again with the N900 release and now this Nokia Money announcement just betters the cause.
