Nokia’s E66 and E71 stripped of BlackBerry Connect

Posted By: Nishant Chaudhary | Jul 30 2008

I was eyeing E71 for its release as it is one of the few phones under Nokia’s E-Series which pack a punch for Multimedia users in addition to it’s trademark business functions. But the news is not good, it seems like E66 and E71 are missing out on BlackBerry Connect client. That’s one shocking thing to know as all other E60-Series phones did support RIM’s BlackBerry Connect client by default. Somehow, E66 and E71 have managed to miss out on that front, though otherwise these two phones look pretty rock solid. But one can imagine that most of the customers who upgraded to these two new phones must be really pissed as this came without any notification or announcement. We are not sure what the reason behind BlackBerry Connect’s absence is but hopefully we’ll soon see a word coming from RIM or Nokia.
