W.E. Phone: OpenMoko Neo Freerunner in tartan-weave plaid case

Posted By: Arpita Mukherjee | Jul 31 2008

After the launch of the OpenMoko Neo Freerunner phone just a few weeks back, we have a new edition of the OpenMoko dressed in colors, including a Scottish appearance with the tartan-weave plaid case. The W.E. Phone, as the new babe is called, features a bundle of customizable Google applications including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Talk’s IM client and start up on the Google search page. It also flaunts a core GNU/Linux OS base with dialing SMS and contacts. Being the first gadget based on the GNU/Linux platform the OpenMoko Neo Freerunner could be customized to install and run software applications of the developer’s choice including changing the physical structure of the phone, as is the case with W.E. Phone.
