Excess cell phone use problem?

My friend told me that excess cell phone use can cause many health problems; can someone tell me is it true or not? And if it’s true what precautions we should take while using cell phone and what they mean by excess use of cell phone, for how long we can use cell phone daily so that we can save ourselves from its bad effects on us? If anyone out there has some idea about it please tell me?
