What should i do my fingers face pain while typing on apple keyboard ?


I am a professional programmer and spend most of time in programming. I have an apple mac pro but I have got a problem with it. Not exactly with mac screen but with the keyboard, I am using the one with aluminum keys. Earlier it was good but now I feel pain while typing. Can anybody suggest me anything as to what should I do?

You are suffering from 'Typing Injury' also known as'RSI, Repetitive Stress Injury', which is generally caused by typing on a computer. It has nothing to do with your apple keyboard. Rather it is connected with the way you sit while typing, continuously typing, lack of rest and sleep, computer not kept properly while you are typing. By following some little things you will be able to get relief from this pain.

1. Get a good chair for yourself which provides complete support to your back and has a good arm rest. You must work in a comfortable position which is one of the main factors to keep you fit and relieved from any bodyache.

2. You should not work continuously. Give yourself a forced rest while working. Sit in a proper posture and keep computer or laptop in such a way that your arms get space to remain straight while you type.

3. Try to do some exercises of fingers by folding your fingers in fist and opening them. Do it whenever you can. It will relax your muscles and will help you out.

4. Go for Rub On relief therapy which provides relief from acute pain temporarily.

5. Eat a balanced diet and include anti inflamatory like garlic, turmeric, curry leaves and ginger in your diet.

6. Consult a doctor if it is arthritis. Consume extra vitamin supplements and increase your calcium intake

7. You can go for massage with omega 3 oil or any other good pain relief oil.
