Sony Ericsson has always impressed us with its Cyber-shot phone series and the latest in the company's huge arsenal is the brand new K770 Cyber-shot phone. With the new Cyber-shot, the company hopes to slender the quality gap between dedicated digital cameras and the phones with integrated cameras. With a mere 14.5 millimeter of thickness, the K770i seems to be one of the best mobile phones on the shelves to capture and share life's valued moments. Here are my two cents on the Sony Ericsson's new K770 Cyber-shot phone.

K770 Cyber-shot specifications:
The new cyber-shot packs an array of high-end camera features and is not much different from its siblings. Although it doesn't has the high-end specs of the famed Sony Ericsson K850i but, it still has all the things which make it a decent mobile phone with a great camera. Here are the main specs of the phone.
3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus and 3x digital zoom, LED photo light for filming
1.9 inches 262k color QVGA screen
Photo fix for PC-free photo editing
MP3 player, FM radio, Video player and recorder, Web browser, RSS feedreader
Picture blogging and PictBridge support
Supports multimedia features like 3D gaming, video streaming and podcasts
Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP, memory card support, additional 256 MB memory card
Claimed talk time of up to 10 hours/2 hours 35 minutes
Design of the K770i:
Boasting a size of 105 x 47 x 14.5 mm and a weight of 95 grams, the K770 cyber-shpt fits your pocket easily owing to its meager 14.5 millimeter of thickness. The phone's relatively small 1.9 inch screen serves the purpose of a viewfinder as soon as you put the phone into the camera mode. All you need to do is to slide open the lens cover to take a picture of anything with the powerful 3.2-megapixel camera.
Dipped in chic Tuffle brown color, the K770i features rectangular keys that use the full keypad space. So, pressing the buttons with ease will not be a problem for anyone. On the right side of the phone, you will find the dedicated camera button. Anyway, the most of the features of the K770i are almost same to that of its siblings.
Why it's good?
I am pretty much impressed the way Sony Ericsson does justice with its Walkman Series and the Cyber-shot series phones. While all the Sony's Walkman phones are well-liked fro the blasting music, the Cyber-shot series phones outshine at taking photos. The K770i does the work efficiently with its 3.2-megapixel camera bestowed with auto focus and 3x digital zoom. Moreover, it comes with a powerful photo light for indoor photo-taking and filming.
Another thing that impresses me is that you can easily print the picture or upload it instantly to your personal online gallery for sharing. The PictBridge support further helps you for PC-free printing. The pictures taken with the camera phone can be printed in up to A4 size.
What I didn't like?
It won't be appropriate to compare the K770i with top of the range K850i and moreover, it does the thing, which it is meant to do. Well, the only thing that I find a bit bad about the Sony Ericsson's Walkman series and Cyber-shot phones is the small size of the screen. But, they give the customers what they promise whether it is the sound quality or the camera quality. In short, I am totally impressed with what they are offering and don't find any downsides with the phone.
My take:
The brown version looks enticing and excels at taking photos. Except for the small sized screen, the K770i touts all the features which you would like to see in your camera phone. The candy design is simple but looks nice as the phone slips into your pocket with ease. The features such as Picture Blogging make it a perfect phone for the mobile phone bloggers. If I listen only to what the company wants to offer to its customers with the K770i, I would happily give the phone 7 out of 10.
Sony Ericsson K770i demo:
What are others saying?
Mobilementalism: The K770 actually looks pretty good. It's not got all the bells and whistles of the top of the range Sony Ericsson K850i, but for a good looking mobile phone with a great camera, the K770i looks like it'll be perfect.
Phonesreview: This is a great looking phone and with great specs. To tell you the truth when I heard this phone will be in truffle brown I really was expecting to be sick, but on the contrary, IT LOOKS HOT.
Intomobile: In a word - excellent, though I wouldn't mind that 5 MP camera from the K850i. On the second thought, there's no way it would be this thin with such a camera.
PCworld: With the launch of its K770 Cyber-shot phone, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB hopes to narrow the quality gap between dedicated digital cameras and mobile phones with integrated cameras.
Pricing and availability:
The K770i will be available in Europe sometime in the Q4 of this year in a classy truffle brown color. Pricing has yet to be announced.
