Fully flexible Softphone lets you hug-and-squeeze

I’m not exactly sure why anyone would want to squeeze or hug their cellphones but if they ever felt the urge they can rest assured that they can, thanks to the technology developed by designer Qian Jiang. The cotton-based Softphone uses electronic cellulose structures in the form of a series of discs and fine, optically clear electronic fibers stretched in between that allow enough light to pass through to display simple contextual menus. The phone’s antenna, battery, camera and micro electronics are contained inside a tiny chip which itself is made of soft squeezable silica. But the best part of the squee-eazy technology is that when you have to disconnect the call, you simply have to squeeze your handset! That ought to be fun!
