Are there any good LG Rumor 2 reviews?

I live in Redmond with my family. It’s my son’s birthday this weekend and I am planning to buy him a LG Rumor 2. Out of those many options present in the market it was LG Rumor 2 which really took me away with its attractive looks and features, and I got really impressed. But when I discussed about it with my friends none of them suggested me to go for it. They said there is some problem with the network reception of the phone. Can anyone tell me what exactly the situation with LG Rumor 2 is? I really don’t want anything to go wrong.

1.The good: The LG Rumor2 has an easy to use and design with a vibrant display and a spacious keyboard. It offers solid call quality and extensive support for email and messaging.
2.The bad: With a lower resolution camera and no 3G support, the LG Rumor2 offers no improvements over the original rumors than the support for corporate email. The navigation controls and keypad buttons are slick, and synchronization of email is not reliable.
3.The bottom line: The LG Rumor2 is a great option for a messaging phone, but LG missed the opportunity to make new and improved.
Despite a spate of phone messages reach the market in the second half of 2008, the trend actually began a year ago with Sprint's original LG rumor. The phone offers a lot to like, including a roomy keyboard and respectable features, and while not the first messaging centric phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, the presence of one did much to put the phone in high speed .
Now, a year and a half since the debut of the original rumor, Sprint and LG offer the Rumor2. Like its predecessor, it remains an accessible and user friendly phone, the keyboard is equally spacious, the messaging application is intuitive and the call quality was unchanged. However, we were disappointed that LG did not take this opportunity to extend the set of the phone function. It is an EV-DO device, and the resolution of the camera is still a low resolution of 1.3 megapixels. In fact, the only new feature is access to some of Outlook and Lotus Notes corporate email. While this is a notable addition makes the Rumor2 definitely new, but improved only partially. You can get it for only $ 49.99 with service and. Mail-in Rebate
4.Design
The Rumor2's design is based on its predecessor, and when placed side by side, the two phones resemble one another. They have an elongated shape candy bar with sleek lines and rounded corners. And, of course, the front slides to the left to expose the full keyboard. But still, as it shows many similarities, the Rumor2 also shows some differences with the original rumor. Available in one color (basic black), and his skin is a bit brighter. It also has a live screen and is slightly larger (4.4 inches high by 2.1 inches wide by 0.7 inches deep) and heavier (4.2 ounces).
5.Features
Rumor2 phone book with 600 contacts with room in each entry for six phone numbers, email address, IM handle, a URL, and notes. You can also choose to hide the contacts with a passcode. The Rumor2 supports caller groups and photo caller ID. You can also pair contacts with one of 33 polyphonic ringtones.
Basic features include a vibrate mode, text and multimedia messaging, an alarm clock, calendar, calculator, voice recorder, voice dialing, wireless backup telephone directory, a unit converter, and a notepad. You'll also find PC syncing, USB mass storage, a memory card manager, GPS with support for Sprint Navigation, Sprint service Family Locator, stereo Bluetooth, and instant messaging.
