HTC Desire (code-named Bravo) is a smartphone developed by HTC, announced on February 16, 2010 and released in Europe and Australia in the second quarter of that year. Runs the Android operating system, version 2.2 "Froy". Internally bears a strong resemblance to the Nexus One, but differ in some respects.

a.Hardware:-

The phone is powered by a 1 GHz processor ARM v7 "Snapdragon" includes a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and optical trackpad and was one of the first devices to present a full-color AMOLED display.

Compared with AMOLED display original SLCD screen makes a more accurate color reproduction, the much less susceptible to burn, similar peak brightness and optimal viewing angle, but a lower contrast ratio.

With the new screen SLCD was argued that energy efficiency would be similar or better compared to the original AMOLED screen, however, this has proved not always be thecase because the ability to completely turn off the AMOLED pixel, pixels black or dark use very little energy. However, in situations in which the predominantly white screen (like when you see many websites), AMOLED display uses more power.
The hardware is capable of recording high definition video (720p) playback.

b.Software:-

HTC has released a software update to improve the Desire to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Originally planned to do so in June 2011. however, the June 14, 2011, HTC announced that there would facebook update for the HTC Desire's "Gingerbread".This is because the HTC was unable to use Gingerbread "and while HTC Sense in the partition of 250 MB of system memory of the phone. However, on July 15, less than 24 hours to declare the impossibility of upgrade to "Gingerbread", issued a statement announcing that the Desire receive the "Gingerbread" after all, but with the possibility that some applications were eliminated. Finally the update was released through the HTC website and download this available as an upgrade "over-the-air".
