HTC G1 Feedback?

HTC G1 is a cool smart phone and one of today's top Android devices. I’m really impressed by this android and would surely want to buy it. Can anyone discuss some of its advantages and drawbacks so that at least I’m able to have some transparency as far as its purchase is concerned? Looking forward for an expert advice. Thank you in advance.

My friend has an HTC G1. The design of this device will remind you of a plain vanilla pocket PC design. With an ordinary design it still has some extra ordinary features rolled up in its sleeves. It weighs 158 g including its battery. It measures 117 x 55.7 x 17.1mm. Both parts of the phone that is, the touch as well as the slider QWERTY can be protected against fingerprints. But the phone doesn’t score brownie points when the terms ‘look and design’ comes into existence.

The standard keys are been embedded into the device which comprises of the camera kety on the ridght side, the dual volume ket on the left side and the miniUSB port which has been placed on the bottom of the device. Underneath the screen you will be provided with 6 objects that help the user to manage the device easily.

The smart phone lacks a stylist and if we talk of camera quality the 3.2 inch TFT-LCD half size VGA touchscreen with 320 x 480-pixels resolution and supports 65000 colors. Since it is not with me so I cannot tell you all the specification but I can say that my friend hasn’t faced any problems with it.
