Why is ipad pricing so high in UK?

I am thinking of buying Apple iPad 2 but the price here in UK are very high as compare to other countries. I am going to Washington next month so I would like to ask that will I get it at lesser price in USA than UK? If there is any chance of getting price lesser then please inform me. Thanks.

Hi! Imagine the device which is ultra-thin, ultra-light, has atouch screen with a battery life of 10 hours on a single charge i.e none other than “Apple iPad”. It is really a good choice to buy an Apple ipad2. We can say that iPad2 is the next evolution in Table PC technology. The ipad 2 features two cameras(front and back) and has an amazing new design and overall it weighs just 600 grams.

But apple ipad cost 25 percent more in UK than US. In US the basic iPad costs $499, which at the current pound-dollar exchange rate is £338. Whereas Apple has announced that the starting price in the UK will be £429 for the 16GB model with a wi-fi link to the internet. This pricing difference is all because of different and higher sales tax rate in UK. So the price it is quoting is including VAT as well as transport.

Therefore you can understand that it isbetter idea to buy an ipad in US than in UK. That is if you are going to Washington than you can buy an ipad costs 25percent lesser price than UK. So go ahead and buy your ipad at US dollar price and enjoy its amazing features.
