When is the next iPad going to come out?

Guys!! Only seriously reply please. I am planning to buy iPad 2 but I am reading some news on web that Apple is going to launch iPad 3 in the January month of next year. Are these rumors true because I do not want to be screwed up by buying older one. I will better wait for two three months and wait for next ipad to get launched.

No stable date is decided for the release of iPad 3 right now and people are just being supplied with rumours all over the internet. Actually the case is, they (Apple) are continuously delaying the release date of iPad 3. First it was set to be released in later 2011 with retina display but is delayed due to non-availability of heavy amount of retina displays whcih was first introduced by Apple with thew release of iPhone 4 in 2010.

The Retina display will be used to enhance the resolution and increase it from the current value of 1024x768 pixels to 2048x1536 pixels.

There is another rumour that the new iPad will be equipped with newly patented Fingerprint killing technology and would be oleo-phobic, i.e. grease resistant which would be useful for most of the future iPad users.

Currently, the speculations are being made that the release will be done in late 2012 with these enhanced features:

  1. Retina Display: Future iPad 3 users are waiting for an enhanced iPad with a retina display. The rumor is that the iPad 3 will provide a resolution of 2048×1536 px.
  2. Camera Flash: A flash equipped-camera with flash is a much-waited feature too.
  3. SD Card Slot: Hopefully this time Apple may introduce an SD card slot with the third-gen iPad.
  4. Improved HDMI: iPad 2 supported HDMI playback but for that the users needed to have Apple digital AV adapter(extra cost of $39). So iPad 3 is expected to have an integrated HDMI port.
  5. Thunderbolt: The new iPad 3 may have a Thunderbolt port. It will offer blazing fast speeds of transfer for video and data connectivity.
  6. Wireless Synchronize: Wireless sync is also expected by the fans of iPad rather than traditional wired connectivity.
