Issue about verizon text message from computer ?

I am sending messages to my friend living in Florida from my desktop here in Ohio. I don’t know whether he will be receiving them or not but I want to ask you that is it necessary to have an internet network in your phone if someone has sent verizon text message from computer. I am seeking for a genuine advice. Thanks in advance.

Text messages sent as e-mail is absolutely free for the sender. Whereas, the receiver on the other hand will have to pay his or her normal messaging charge. And it is not at all necessary for the receiver to have an internet network in his phone to receive such messages from the sender.

Often I use this email to SMS techniques to send some important information to my mobile so that if I don’t have the facility to work on my server even then I have the information in my mobile. I try to keep them in my mobile to check and update this information frequently. Several service providers have recently combined. As the services fold into one another, the email addresses will eventually combine. But Verizon till date has not combined with any other network.

Here are the email addresses for the 6 most popular cellular phone carriers:

You can send the mail as message into your phone using the following format-Verizon: phonenumber@vtext, where phone number = your 10 digit phone number.

This email addresses mostly works as a typical email client. And such messages don’t have the subject line to play an important role, therefore either they are truncated or completely ignored. The only thing you need to remember is that true messages will limit to only 160 characters.

Thus this is the easiest way to send messages to your cell phone from your computer.
