We can now see one of the most popular Japanese cell phones entering the international market. Japan is planning to launch the very famous Wallet Phone that relies on a computer chip called the FeliCa. It communicates with a reader device at stores, train stations and vending machines for cashless payments. Though the cell phone has been available in Japan since 2004, the world rarely gets to see these sophisticated Japanese cell phones. Japan is also planning to promote other wireless goods and mobile phones with the latest technology possible. This could help bring the Japanese hi-tech cell phones to the mainstream western market which in fact lags behind the Japanese technology by several years.
