How to manage phone contacts via PC?

Can anyone help me out to find a new cell phone that will allow me to connect my phone directly to my PC? I want to manage the contact info and also create its backup in my PC. But it is not as easy as it sounds. Because each and every phone that I selected for this purpose, lacks with this feature. The main problems that even the Smartphone are available with his facility. MS wants you to upload all your contacts to Hotmail, and Android wants you to upload them to Gmail. I don’t want to do that, so please suggest me with some good options. Budget is not a problem at all.

Its a good idea to have a backup of all your contacts and important data that is in your phone, in your PC cause all this information can be retrieved from the PC even when you plan to change your phone. Nowadays almost all the phone have the feature of being connected to your PC and transfer data to and from the computer. It is a very simple process and I have successfully tried it out with the Nokia OVI Suite which is available with almost all Nokia phones but as per my experience of mobile usage I would recommend you to go in for any phone available in the Nokia N Series as all these phones are extremely user friendly and it is an extremely easy process to synchronize them with your PC. On purchase of your N series phones you get along with them the Nokia ovi suite CD from which one can easily install the software into your computer hard disk and then connect your phone through the usb cable provided to transfer all your contacts to your computer via the ovi suite. The software will guide you through a step by step procedure of transfer and I'm pretty sure that you will that you will not face any problems regarding backing up your important phone data into your PC. Good luck.
