Professionals out there in the tech-world are never short of the ideas and innovations. Until now, we have been using projectors and different disk formats to project the a high-definition television image. The researchers at the Cornell University have developed the new microelectromechanical system (MEMS) that could enable the cell phones to project a high definition television image.

They have used a small mirror about half millimeter suspended by carbon fibers. The fibers intensify the ambiance of a piezoelectric motor and deflect a laser at different angles. It is enough to scan an image with a resolution of 1280 by 768 pixels about 60 times a second.
The researchers say that the prototype projector would be ready for use within a year.
