T Mobile G2 SD Update?

Has anyone heard of the update done through the SD card? I have called many T-mobile stores in my area and none of them has, or in some cases even heard of the update done through the SD card. Guess I'm going to have to wait till I just get OTA. Any suggestions on this. I will be thankful to you. Bye.

Hello, yes I've heard about it. So I am giving to some advise regarding the same. Firstly you have to download the 2.3.4 update for the G2 here. Then once downloaded, place it on the root of your SD card. And remember one thing, do not rename it. Its name should be PC10IMG with .zip being the extension. This will completely wipe your phone so for back up any data that is important to you like SMS, Contacts, etc. All these apps will be deleted so back them up if you must. Then you have to turn off your phone and boot into bootloader . The update process should begin after that Once the update has been successfully installed, the phone will ask to press the power button to reboot. Then press the button. The phone will reboot and you have a freshly baked 2.3.4 Gingerbread update. Now you can update your T mobile through SD card. I hope you will be satisfied with my answer.
