New voice to text messaging service from Jott

A small startup in Seattle 'Jott' will launch a service which will convert the voice to text and then deliver the message to the desired recipient via SMS or Email.

The receiver can then decide whether he wants to read the message or just listen to the original voice message sent to him. It can come handy when you need to contact a person who may be out of network coverage area.

A four person team Jott recently received funding of $1 million from Ackerley Partners, Draper Richards and Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom.

Jott's competitor Pinger also has the same service but minus voice to text that the Jott is trying to give but it will not be surprising to see Pinger also coming up with this feature soon.
