Call it the Olympics rub-off or just the fact that we love all things iPhone and Nike, but the all new Nike+ run-tracker application for iPhone is just one damn attractive bit of running gear. Thanks to a tiny a sensor embedded in a pair of compatible Nike running shoes, the Nike+ sensor allows runners to track their runs on Apple devices including the iPod Nano. Of course the technology has yet to make the transition from the pod to the phone but if these screenshots are to be believed then we have ample reason to believe that the iPhone Nike+ application is just around the corner.

From what we can gather from the shots, a special iPhone application will be required to take advantage of the signal receiver in the iPhone’s dock connector and will allow users to update their online running log/run-tracker in real-time. Gosh, could the iPhone BE any better?
