Why Nokia 5300 keypad is not working?

If your keypad is not working properly the n first of all power off your cell phone and take out the even the battery. Turn it up and run the tip of your finger on the panel of keypad. Clean it properly and then remove the keypad and then clean again. Fit the keypad back in the housing and make sure it is secure in its compartment. Fit it back over the phone and press it firmly down until it snaps in place.

If it’s not working then also then it must be a software problem. And I think nokia has fixed this problem on the new firmware, and that is available for download on Nokia.com. You can download it and this will solve the problem.
