We’ve already told you about Kogan Agora’s tech details here, with a tentative release date. But the recent updates via Gizmodo Australia seem to be portentous and hazy as well. How? Where it states the presence of a 3.8-inch full touchscreen and Cupcake’s virtual keyboard, you won’t be finding any similarities with Blackberry Bold, Samsung Blackjack or the HTC Dream. This Android prototype is almost obdurate to come out with an exact date of release. So, keep on waiting and let Kogan take its time!

While sticking to the same mobile phone for years might bore you a bit, designer Will Orrock urges you against that! Basically, concentrating upon two ideas i.e. layers and upgrade, he seems to have fetched a permanent solution for such a quandary. The battery, OLED screen wrap, high-strength polymer case and a printed circuit board step up to form four layers. Just knock the components off you don’t need anymore; replacing it, would be more sensible.

Maxwell Smart’s shoe phone might be effectual in a setting where you aren’t allowed to carry a mobile-phone and you need it desperately. This DIY from Instructables allows you to play spy unnoticed in such a situation. INQ¹ hammered the likes of BlackBerry Storm, LG KS360, T-Mobile G1 and the Nokia E71 at the MWC in bagging the Best Mobile Device or Handset award. Certain innovations like Facebook integration and a compelling UI at an affordable price does the trick. Though preferences may vary from person to person, still I feel LG Prada II is far better a handset than this newly crowned slider. I can file a hundred reasons for that, here’s one. Won’t say that INQ¹ doesn’t deserve to be on top, still a particular attribute i.e. social networking topples the standing!
