I was also facing some problems while pairing my Apple Wireless Keyboard with Windows 7, With a variety of opinions, from installing alternative Bluetooth software to hacking the registry(I would recommend neither of them, as they would increase your issues rather than solving the problem). An the end, I came to know about a straight forward procedure but was a bit complicated than pairing other devices.

Just use the windows default bluetooth wizard …

  1. Turn ON wireless keys & Bluetooth on the PC(making sure that it is discoverable)
  2. Open ‘Devices and Printers’ panel
  3. Select ‘Add a device’
  4. Let it scan the devices for you, which might come up either as ‘keyboard’ or as an ‘Apple Keyboard’
  5. Select "use your own Passkeys" & type in 1111 through your existing keyboard.
  6. You may not see that but the PC is waiting for you to enter the same passkey on your Apple keyboard (at last press enter)
  7. If successful, a prompt will say that the device is installed and ready to use.
