useful i phone apps

Just got my iphone shipped to my home. I was trying a few apps on my phone n they did not make any sense to me. I mean what am I gonna do with a candle whose flame flickers when you shake the phone. This is completely nonsense and there s no utility to all this sort of stuff. So I was thinking if you guys can suggest me some good apps which can really be helpful. For example a app for astrology would be better. So please name out a few good i phone apps which can be helpful.

So you are looking for iPhone applications but you didn't mention if you want free or paid applications. Anyhow, I'm compiling a list of some cool apps which at some point or the other will come in handy for you... Here it goes-

1.        Netflix- This app virtually converts your iPhone into a mini-theater. You can watch movies, TV. Shows and can even continue their shows from instant queue. This is free to download but you have to subscribe to get its features.

2.        Gorillacam- A must download as it can vastly improve on the abilities of your camera and it's free.

3.        Runkeeper Free- You know Nike + right? Well it helps you to calculate the calories burnt while jogging, but at a hefty price. But this is free and can even track down your route using GPS.

4.        Movies- Automatically detects your location, nearby location of theaters and gets you the movie timing for the selected movie.

5.        Wiki companion- You will need to research sometime, so nothing better than this.

6.         Red Laser- Helps you compare prices online so you can find the lowest price.

7.        Shazam- See someone listening to a groovy song but you don't know its name? Launch this and let it listen and in most cases, it can get you the name of the song. Cool, huh?
