How can I reconnect my mouse to a receiver?

I use a logitech MX revolution wireless mouse. I have been using it since last 6 months. I recently broke my mx revolution mouse receiver with a P/N of 810-000412 and had to purchase a new one. As soon as I opened it, I realized that this one has a P/N of 810-000826. According to the website this mouse receiver should also be compatible with my mouse (M-RBQ124). However, that is not the case for me. I attempted link and also the setup utility, however, it fails to connect. Any help would be great.

Please Follow this procedures to reconnect your mouse:

  1. Check the USB mini-receiver is securely plugged into a USB port on your computer.
  2. Check the Power Supply of mouse.
  3. Verify that you have the latest version of Set Point installed. Download the new version on the MX Revolution.
  4. Open the Logitech Connect Utility (Start --> Programs --> Logitech --> Mouse and Keyboard --> Connect Utility).
  5. You will get reconnect utility window in front of you on Screen. Choose the right option for your mouse.
  6. Mouse should be connected within 2 seconds. If the connection is lost within 30 seconds, the utility will ask you to perform the process again. If the mouse works, click on Done to exit the Re-connection Utility window.
  7. If the mouse still fails to connect after several tries, then reboot the system and try the procedure again.
