How can I repair curve 8900 water damage?

Last month I got Blackberry Curve 8900 and yesterday accidently it got water damaged, so I went to Blackberry and fixed it, but then now it dies within like 30 minutes of using it, not in the charger. When I take my battery out, it had a red line on it; I was told that battery is water damage. What should I do to fix it so that it can be back to normal? Help.

I think the worst possible thing that can happen to an individual have happened to you. I think I have got it right here, what else worse this could be to see your one month old Blackberry falling into water and coming out as clean as it can. I know how much you would have going through your mind at that moment. Probably I can give you some suggestions, which my friends have suggested me when we have a problem like this.

First of all try to disassemble the whole mobile by removing the back cover, the battery, sim card and make sure you wipe out all the water and make sure that there is no moisture left on the mobile. You can even show it to the sun. You can remove the back plate of the phone by using screwdrivers. The next step would be to move the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and remove the three ribbon cables while you can leave the antenna cables.

One important thing to note here is to take care of the PCB reverse side of the phone. There might be corrosion on the bottom left from the dissolved salts present in the water. Another important thing is the connectors to the LCD screen. Make sure that all the connections are perfect and replace the old ones. So this should be enough to give life to your dead mobile. Hope it get backs to normal, all the best!
