Anyone with reviews on Metro PCS coverage?

Hi guys, I live in Redmond with my family. It is my son’s birthday this weekend and I am planning to buy him a Metro PCS Mobile phone. Out of those many options present in the market it was Metro mobile which really took me away with its attractive offers for its users, and I got really impressed. But when I discussed about Metro mobile with my friends none of them suggested me to go for it. They said there is some problem with the network of the service provider. Can anyone tell me what exactly is the situation with Metro PCS Mobile coverage, so that I make the right decision?

Because of evaluating wireless coverage requires experience with the network in a wide variety of physical locations, CNET does not rate wireless carriers. We can, however, tell you everything you need to know about the big companies. We invite your comments and ratings in our user opinions section, the more input we have from all over the U.S., the best service to our users can evaluate coverage at a national level. For more information carrier, please see CNET's Quick Guide.

Serving 6 million customers in selected markets in Georgia, Florida, Texas, Michigan, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nevada and California, Dallas-based MetroPCS is a CDMA carrier that offers unlimited minutes as a characteristic of all its calling plans. You will not need a contract of any client, and not impose restrictions on the time of day is called. However, there is a trade-off, as many basic services such as voice mail and caller ID can cost extra. Like other regional carriers,MetroPCS coverage roams in other networks outside their area of origin. Your phone list tends toward low-cost models, but smart phones offer touch screen. Available features include email, messaging, mobile internet, 3G, push-to-Talk and mobile mapping service MapQuest.
