At first sight, the BlackBerry 9000 does not appear to be the most revolutionary thing to have ever come out of the RIM factory. But we decided to get a closer look at the thing for ourselves. On paper, the sporty new smartphone seems like a draw with its BlackBerry OS 4.6, GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA radio credentials, WiFi connectivity, A-GPS and TrackBall navigation, 2-mp camera and HVGA color LCD display with 480×320 resolution. Though we certainly are disappointed that the phone lacks a touchscreen capability which certainly makes it a tad bit less attractive than the iPhone, for the BB loyalists, the new RIM UI seems just about nice enough to hang onto for the time being. Catch the demo in the videos after the jump.
