I think that some of us love our cellphones so much that we shudder at the idea of parting with it even for a few hours. However, there are some members of our species who do not share our love for the device and to them the ringing phones are a menace. Take for instance, the experience of two cellphone loving men in an Atlanta courtroom. They mistook the Atlanta Municipal Court Judge Herman Sloan as someone who shared their love for the mobile device and forgot to turn their phones to the mute or data only mode in the courtroom. As a result, as soon as their phones started ringing they invited the ire of the judge who held them for contempt of court for auditory interruption. The two cell phone lovers had to wait in the jury box while the judge finished hearing cases on his docket. Finally, at the end of the day the two men were offered to choose either of the two punishments – a $200 fine or 10 days in jail. Therefore, the moral of the story is – the cell phone might be your world but it might be menace for others.
