How to get ringtones on iPhone?

I am having a iPhone Nano with me and I have to get some ringtones for that. I am not able to get any ringtones on the internet so far. I wish to get the ringtones of the songs that I have loved over a period of time and which have been my all time favorite. How to get ringtones on iPhone? Could you please tell me about the procedure that I has to follow so that I have some cool and happening ringtones on my iPhone.

You can play some tricks with the iTunes and can useyour favorite songs or a part of it as ringtone for your iPhone for free and thereis nothing illegal about it. You can do this from both a Mac and a PC but theremight be little difference in options regarding the version of the iTunes used.

Open iTunes and find the song that you choose to useas your ringtone. Note down the starting and ending point from where you wantto create your ringtone and make sure that the duration is of forty seconds. Rightclick the song and put the time values in the start time and stop time textboxes under the options tab and click OK. Right click the song again andconvert your selection to AAC format. Find the converted file in the iTunesmusic folder and change the file extension from m4a to m4r. When the systemwarns you about the change of extension may affect the use of the file, clickon ‘use m4r’. Then double click your ringtone file and it will be automaticallyadded to the ringtones folder in the iTunes music library. Then connect youriPhone and synchronize the ringtones.
