Are rumors about sprint mobile battery problem true?

I am planning to buy Samsung sprint mobile for me but first I want to be sure that it is the cool one for me. Although all reviews on internet seems to be good but I want to know more about it. How is the phone as a user point of view? Someone in my office was complaining about the phone battery problem. Is that rumor true or it’s just a prank. Also mention some best competitors of the phone in market.

Yeah, it's true!

I don't know about others. But, it’s only two weeks to buy my new Samsung Epic, and its battery backup is dreadful. The battery lasts about 3-4 hours only. I have understood that my battery in fact expires despite of 50% indication of battery charge. My battery indicator says I have around 50% life left, but the battery gets discharged. One of my colleagues also told me the same thing yesterday. It’s possible to write appropriately about some amazing sprint phones. I would recommend you HTC evo 4G for the better replacement.
