Can we run windows mobile apps on symbian operating system?

I have been using Nokia phone for quite a while. My current phone is a Nokia java phone but want to change it to symbian phone. But, I have some dedicated window mobile apps and don’t want to lose them. Could you just tell me whether I run Windows Mobile Apps on Symbian Phones or not? I am very much scared guys, help me!!

Hey pal, I am sorry but you cannot run windows mobile apps on your symbian phone as the installer used by the windows mobile devices is .cab file (cabinet file) and for symbian devices, the applications are developed as .sis and .sisx or we can say that the structure of the installer files are completely different.

Thus, the two type of apps use very different approaches in installation and placements of installed files. If you want to download an application similar to that of windows mobile apps, just check out the internet if there is a symbian based version available for the same app.

Hope this may help.
