Is Samsung wave a good phone to buy?

My 16 years old daughter has been asking for a new cellphone. I promised her that I would get her one when she is 16. Now she desperately needs it. I was thinking of which model to give her. I think according to her taste and usage a Samsung wave phone should be great for her. It has all those advanced options we get in phones these days. What do you guys think? I don't have any experience with Samsung but I have heard good things. Inputs are welcome.

Samsung Wave was the Korean company's first powered smartphone. It is very sleek, has a beautiful big AMOLED screen, a very good quality 5MP camera (Samsung is known for good quality phone cameras, a quality missing in Nokia and HTC) with 4X zoom and an LED flash, 3G, bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, 2GB internal memory and 32GB expandable memory - in short, it has everything a 16-year old girl could want and more. For its price, it is one of the better phones available in the market today, getting better reviews than Nokia X6, HTC Desire, Google Nexus and others.

However, it has limited applications (you will have to download whatever else you want), the camera lens does not have a cover which could lead to early damage, does not have a light sensor or a body-proximity sensor to alter screen brightness and a few other technical hitches. But as long as your daughter doesn't bounce the phone off walls for fun, it should last her long and good. Go for it!
