The Samsungs latest launch in USA in the Windows Mobile 5.0 smartphone category "BlackJack" has risen a bit of controversy. The cell has been named BlackJack which is almost synonym to BlackBerry. Annoyed by this the manufacturer of Blackberry RIM has filed a lawsuit in federal court of Los Angels.

The lawsuit by RIM is aiming to stop Samsung from using the BlackJack name. The lawsuit says that Samsungs use of name will give rise to false competition and will dilute the trademark of BlackBerry. RIM thinks that by using word black the Samsung might be able to cut into their market share.
BlackJack is a QWERTY smart phone with HSDPA and is now being offered by Cingular.
Interestingly the BlackJack review says that it has a badly built user interface and poor battery life and to compound all that the keyboard layout is also not good.
