Samsung is one company that always has some methods to make its products popular in the market. The company has now filed a patent application for a phone capable of tracking a woman’s fertile periods.
The cellphone will update the user about the time when sex can result in a pregnancy and when not. This all happens when the user places a call by measuring distance to the eardrum using either ultrasonic or laser sensors, this combined with infrared delivers an accurate temperature reading. This reading corresponds to a woman’s basal body temperature cycle, which finally maps her menstrual cycle.
While Japanese couples might use the cellphone to boost the birth rate, some other countries might find its use in controlling the population explosion, making the phone a truly global offering!
